West Sussex Connect to Support

This website can provide you with a new marketing opportunity and help you to reach out to more people. It operates to provide the general public with information and advice, and aims to help people needing support find local activities, care products and services more easily.

Connect to Support helps people take charge of their own support so they can live the life they want, it is similar to an online supermarket but is dedicated to social care - it's a unique searching and shopping experience for people who have additional needs such as a disability or are getting older and need support to live their life.

Often people want a mix of local activities and more formal supports. The website aims to help people design their support in a way which makes sense to each individual and their family, so that people can direct their own support.

For local groups and activities that are free or low cost the website brings you:

  • Your own directory entry to promote your group, event or service which is quick and easy to set up
  • A way to reach members of the local community that might not otherwise be able to find out about your group or activity

Organisations with a directory entry do not receive online enquiries or purchase orders through the system. It will be appropriate for some organisations to have both a store and a directory entry. If you are in doubt about which type of entry is appropriate for you, please contact the PCG helpdesk on the details above.

For services and products that can be purchased the website brings you:

  • Your own online store
  • Access to new markets - such as self-funders and personal budget holders and also customers in other areas and regions
  • The ability to easily transact and communicate with new and existing customers
  • Time saving automated invoicing and more
  • Ongoing support and assistance
  • Help personalising your services - our team can advise you on aspects such as deciding how much a product or service should cost, so that customers can not only view a product or service, but also an accurate price
