Burnside - Burgess Hill

Burnside is a dynamic day-opportunity service providing person-centred support for people over the age of 18 with a variety of care and support needs.

Burnside’s day opportunity hub is all on the ground floor. It has a large garden, with accessible pathways linking a small outdoor gym, covered outside seating, and plenty of shaded spots for the summer months.

The hub has a variety of identifiable, focused areas, including:

  • Accessible training kitchen
  • Sensory/relaxation spaces
  • Art and craft studio
  • Garden studio
  • Computer suite
  • Dedicated spaces for drama, dance and fitness

People are supported and enabled to be active community members, making full use of local facilities and engaging in various community initiatives to benefit the entire town. These include:

  • Steps and sights
  • Community allotment
  • Football
  • Digital community group
  • Local gym access
