Hammonds is a registered, purpose-built residential care home based in the local community of Aldwick, Bognor Regis, that can support up to 16 people long term. The care home provides person-centred care and support for people over the age of 18 who have a learning disability. We support people to live the lives they want with a focus on "Active Support" to increase people's independent living skills.
Hammonds supports people with their hobbies and interests, whether that’s horse riding, swimming, golf, bowling, attending clubs in the community or joining the in-house "5-2-7 Club" in the evenings. The in-house club also hosts bingo, karaoke, and music and dance sessions.
People have shared their ideas around something we call “A life beyond walls” - this is when people work with us to plan and go on holidays, days out, connecting to their community and plan to do new things that are important to them.
We also offer weekday and weekend short stay breaks in our purpose-built lodge offering fully accessible en-suite rooms with communal lounge and wheelchair accessible kitchen. There are four bedrooms – two on each floor with use of a lift for the first floor.
Hammonds is within a short walking distance from the beach and has access to local parks, restaurants and bars. The town is a short bus ride away which has a shopping centre offering a variety of popular shops.
Our courtyard is the “hub” of the home, where people can sit and enjoy the sunshine, have BBQs and listen to music with their friends.
